Thoughts in Cold Storage

[[F E U D S]] * Just when you think that America’s right-wingnuts have gone completely overboard, along comes a new story to prove that the depths of political idiocy are bottomless. As David R. Mark notes at his JABBS (Journalists Against Bush’s B.S.) site, “A group that had hoped to build ‘Counter Clinton’ libraries in Little Rock and Washington has abandoned its plans.” Headed by Houston businessman Richard Erickson, the group was unable to generate sufficient funds to fulfill its partisan mission, and “in spite of occasional appearances on Fox News Channel and elsewhere, [it] also wasn’t able to make a dent in the success of the actual Clinton Presidential Center, in Little Rock, which has drawn more than 400,000 people since opening last November.” If only the power conservatives continue to generate in their attempts to bash former President Bill Clinton and his wife, U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, could be harnessed, America might be well on its way to energy self-sufficiency.
