[[P R I Z E S]] * Wow, how the heck did this happen? I just noticed, purely by accident, that Limbo numbers among the nominees for a 2005 Koufax Award in the “most deserving of wider recognition” category. Sponsored by the Wampum blog, and named presumably after former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax, this commendation would be quite something to receive. However, the competition is pretty stiff (with almost 300 nominees in this category alone), and I have tremendous respect for many of the other blogs featured on the list, particularly Bag News Notes, Blue Meme, The Daily Howler, The Left Coaster, Legal Fiction, The Moderate Voice, MoxieGrrrl, Political Cortex, and The Reaction. So I’m not holding my breath to receive word of Limbo’s win. I am just happy to see that somebody other than my friends even noticed I’ve been plugging away at this Web site.
