[[O C C A S I O N S]] * Thanks to State of the Day for reminding me that February 24 marks the 85th birthday of Abe Vigoda, the hangdog-faced actor who portrayed Detective Phil Fish on the old Barney Miller TV series (as well as its short-lived spinoff, appropriately titled Fish). Like many Americans, I too thought that Vigoda had died (the result of People magazine snafu back in 1982). Glad to know I was wrong.
