[[T R A V E L]] * Far be it from me to suggest that anyone--women or men--should wish to seek out topless recreation spots, but I just happened to notice that Forbes magazine has recently published its 2006 assessment of the top 10 no-tops-required beaches in the world:

● Black’s Beach, San Diego, California
● Clifton Beach, Cape Town, South Africa
● Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
● Illetes, Formentera, Spain
● Las Salinas, Ibiza, Spain
● Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia
● Nikki Beach, St. Tropez, France
● Paradise Beach, Mykonos, Greece
● Santa Maria, Forte Dei Marmi, Italy
● South Beach, Miami, Florida

Given how prudish Americans tend to be (remember the idiotic hoopla over Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction”?), I’m surprised that two of these spots sit within the U.S. borders. And one of them--South Beach--I have actually visited, though I must have been there during the non-topless season. Worst luck ...
