[[C A M P A I G N S]] * Oh, no, not another one. Clearly, Democrats believe that Americans are tired of Republican rule, and are looking away from the GOP as a source for their next president. Already considered candidates for the job are Dems Hillary Clinton, Russ Feingold, Al Gore, Evan Bayh, John Kerry, John Edwards, Mark Warner, Bill Richardson, Tom Vilsack, and Joe Biden. Now add to that pack Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd, who told the Associated Press earlier this week that after 25 years in the Senate, he’s mulling a promotion. “It’s an itch. Could grow. Could disappear,” he said. “It’s an itch. It’s not a bad word to use.” Whether Dodd scratches it may depend on how the Democrats do in November. Should they win majority control of the Senate, Dodd would likely become chair of the Senate Banking Committee, a job he has long coveted.
It’s nice to have choices, eh?
