Rove on the Rack?

[[C R I M E]] * I don’t want to get my hopes up about this, but TruthOut reports that deputy White House chief of staff Karl Rove has “told President Bush and Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, as well as a few other high-level administration officials, that he will be indicted in the CIA leak case and will immediately resign his White House job when the special counsel publicly announces the charges against him.” That story’s author, Jason Leopold, an ex-Dow Jones Newswire bureau chief and author of the new book News Junkie, claims as sources “half-dozen White House aides and two senior officials who work at the Republican National Committee.” He goes on in a follow-up story to write that Rove’s lawyers have already received an indictment from special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald “charging the embattled White House official with perjury and lying to investigators related to his role in the CIA leak case.”

Could this finally be the week of Karl’s comeuppance?
