Who would’ve guessed that the animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) would be more successful in talking gorgeous women out of their clothes than most men? You might recall that actress Alicia Silverstone recently appeared in a public service announcement for the organization, clad only in her vegetarian convictions. Now, 27-year-old Australian singer-actress Sophie Monk--reportedly, a longtime veg-head--has also shed her togs for the cause, posing nude on a bed of chili peppers beside the tagline “Spice Up Your Life--Go Vegetarian.”
In a video interview for PETA, the willowy Ms. Monk says, “If you are going to take your clothes off for something, it better be a good cause.”
Hey, who am I to complain?
So that makes Silverstone, Monk, and Polish actress Joanna Krupa, who was featured in an earlier eye-catching PETA campaign in which she appeared covered only in a few colorful streaks of light and the legend, “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur.” Who’s next?
