Morons with Microphones

Republican’ts appear willing to tell any lies necessary to keep their insurance company contributors happy and prevent President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats from reforming America’s broken and costly health-care system. The latest incident of deception came yesterday on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, where Congressman John Shadegg (R-Arizona) let forth with this ridiculous tirade about how health-care reform is going to turn the United States into the Soviet Union:

You know, it occurs to me, and I’ll go through these other scandals very quickly, but what we’re really getting here is we’re not just getting single-payer care. We’re getting full-on Russian gulag, Soviet-style gulag health care ... It appeared in last Friday’s Wall Street Journal. You can Google it. You can pick up the phone and call Kim Strassel. You can ask her about Soviet-style gulag health care in America, where powerful politicians protect their constituents.

It’s hard to believe that people actually voted this yahoo into office. And anyone gullible enough now to swallow his line of B.S. must only be watching FOX “News.”
