“The highest-ranking House official in charge of environmental and energy policy,” The Huffington Post reports, “may soon be a Republican legislator who denies climate change on the grounds of his belief that nothing bad can come of the Earth unless it is preordained by God.”
Wouldn’t it be nice if people in positions of power, who are supposed to be looking out for our best interests, now and in the future, were at least in touch with reality? But I guess that’s too much to ask from today’s Republican’t Party.
