As part of the campaign to win broad public support for their often flawed or ridiculous ideas, today’s far-right activists hope to convince Americans that they are in fact “the ideological descendants of the Founding Fathers.” But, to borrow a line from Senator John Kerry, just because they say it, doesn’t make it true.
