Has anybody else happened to mention this anomaly in American history?
Barack Obama is now the third recent U.S. president in a row to be elected to two terms in the White House, following
Bill Clinton (1993-2001) and
George
W. Bush (2001-2009).

The last and
only other time three men were elected consecutively to two terms as president was back at the beginning of the 19th century:
Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809),
James Madison (1809-1817), and
James Monroe (1817-1825).
