Hooray for Diversity

Here’s some news to send shivers up the backs of America’s (unfortunately many) right-wing racists: “After years of speculation, estimates and projections,” The New York Times reports, “the Census Bureau has made it official: White births are no longer a majority in the United States.” Of course, most of us will probably think, Who cares? The quality of a person doesn’t lie in his or her color, but in his or her character.
